The strength of the Journal lies in the fact that it does not require literacy skills to use. Instructions can be given through audio clips, images, and videos. Even preschoolers and early elementary students can learn to record audio, pictures, and videos in the diary. Often, the work of young students is stored in a growth folder, which is eventually sent home at some point. Recording moments in the diary is easily done throughout the year, and guardians can follow the child's recordings as they accumulate.

The diary function allows the child to participate in capturing their own moments. They can capture shapes from their surroundings, record sounds, and film the freezing process of ice diamonds. Additionally, the aim is to facilitate the transfer of information and the transition from preschool to first grade, as well as progression from second grade to third grade.

The assessment train is designed to be used in preschool and early primary education. The graphical environment and user interface of the assessment train are created with the learner's age and developmental level in mind, making it motivating, appealing, and suitable for the child's world. The student does not need to know how to read to use the assessment train.

The learning contents of the assessment trains can be adhered to any curriculum and divided into clear learning objectives placed into separate carriages. The documentation can be done by the student themselves or the teacher.

Color codes in the teacher's interface represent different levels of competence. The entire class's learning process becomes visible to both the teacher and the student.

The Assessment Train is particularly useful in flexible preschool and early primary education, in studies not tied to specific grade levels, and in classrooms that enable students to have individual learning paths. It is also well-suited for supporting students with special needs in both upward and downward differentiation. The Assessment Train also serves assessment discussions very effectively. For example, it helps parents to understand the goals and contents of the curriculum better than before. The Assessment Train is not tied to any textbook and is easy to use both in traditional teacher-led styles and with individualized teaching methods.

The teacher can assign students simple exam-like exercises by either creating the exercises themselves or using ready-made ones. Depending on the teacher's choice, students can respond to the exercises once or multiple times within the validity period. Images can also be added to the questions. The teacher, student, and guardian receive information about the student's performance. Exercises are mostly self-correcting, saving the teacher time and effort. The teacher can create individual or class-wide goals for students. Students can also set personal goals for themselves. They can assess their own progress towards these goals, and the teacher can monitor their progress as well. The goal feature is highly useful in discussions between the student, guardian, and teacher, especially in assessment discussions.

Students can conveniently log into Qridi using a QR code. Typically, students use Qridi on tablet devices or smartphones.

The students' credentials can be printed from the teacher's interface. Often, these are found laminated in the student's locker or between the pages of their notebook. The QR code significantly reduces the time required for logging in.
